Hi there. I hope you're still reading comments despite your downtime from writing. My wife and I have had a real eye-opening since buying our first home here in Syracuse last year. Having moved from Ithaca to take a fulltime job at the university here, we're both looking at each other and our two beautiful boys, saying, "What the heck is all of this about? What are we doing living in the city, working 9-5, feeling detached from the earth and from ourselves?" We have been investigating what it would mean to walk away from it and live the life we want to be living.
