Wecome to Dragonwood Chronicles

Dragonwood is our off the grid sanctuary. Tucked away deep in the woods at the southern edge of the Tug Hill region of New York, north of Oneida Lake. Six acres of pond and gardens bordered by forest on three sides.

The project began in 1995, when after a long search, Debe and I purchased the property from a local logger. To date we have built a cabin, a bridge and a shed in addition to expansive gardens and stone work.

The Dragonwood Chronicles will serve to document the project with photographs and notes. I hope to go back and gather up some of the earlier photographs, so one will be able to see the transformation from rough log landing to a real park like setting.

We have also become libertarian activists in light of the direction both the Republicans and Democrats are taking this country. As such we will also post relevant posts on matters of interest.
